Dantu Village is a remote and picturesque settlement in Uttarakhand’s Darma Valley, situated at an altitude of 3,400 meters. Known for its serene environment and breathtaking views, it serves as a key stopover for trekkers heading towards Panchachuli Base Camp.
Day 2: Dantu Village to Panchachuli Base Camp
- Distance: ~5 km
- Altitude: ~4,200 meters
- Time: ~2 hours of trekking
Morning:
- Begin your trek from Dantu Village towards Panchachuli Base Camp.
- The trail takes you through lush meadows, river crossings, and steep ascents—offering a challenging but rewarding experience.
Afternoon:
- Arrive at Panchachuli Base Camp, where you’ll be welcomed by mesmerizing views of snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and alpine meadows.
- Enjoy the pristine beauty and take in the peaceful surroundings.
Evening:
- Explore the Darma Valley and take some time to relax amidst the Himalayas.
Day 3: Return to Pithoragarh via Dharchula
- Descend to Dharchula and explore the Nepal Market, known for local goods and unique Himalayan artifacts.
- Continue the journey back to Pithoragarh.
