Siddheshwar Temple

Siddheshwar Temple, dedicated to the Siddh Devata (accomplished deity), is located near Dhamora village on the Tanakpur Road, about three to four kilometers from Aincholi in Pithoragarh. In the Kumaon region, it is essential to remember the eighty-four Siddhas, the fifty-two Viras, and the five Beatles during the awakening of the Gorakhnath deities.

It is believed that their original temple is in a highly inaccessible place on the banks of the Sharda River in the foothills of the Purnagiri mountain. There is also a holy water source nearby. Siddheshwar is considered to be a form of Lord Shiva. Their sites are established either on a mountain or beneath the shade of trees. Their temples contain two to four elongated natural stones, iron tridents adorned with pitchers, trishuls (tridents), and iron lamps.

It is believed that these Siddha deities never harm anyone. Devotees perform Jalabhishek (ritual of pouring water) here during the night of Shivratri. There is great reverence for this deity in the surrounding areas. Siddheshwar Mahadev blesses his true devotees during worship.
